Jeanne Reisel has been a staff photographer for The Tennessean since July 2000 in the Williamson County bureau. She was a staff photographer for The Jackson (Tenn.) Sun prior to that since February 1999, and a freelancer for The Tennessean from 1997-1999.
Reisel graduated with honors with a B.S. in Mass Communications-emphasis in Photography, with minors in Sociology and Business Entrepreneurship.
Breaking into the competitive world of photojournalism, particularly in one’s late thirties, she says, was made easier with the encouragement and support of The Tennessean photo staff.
