Tennessean photographer John Partipilo has spent much of his 20- year career covering diverse subjects from the Mennonites and Plain People to the war in Iraq with the 101st Airborne Division.
An award winning photographer, Partipilo joined the Tennessean staff in 1997 and presently has six of his photographs in the Frist Center for the Arts Tennessee Photographs exhibit.
Born in Pine Ridge, South Dakota, Partipilo was a staff photographer at Arkansas Gazette and freelanced in Los Angeles. His work has appeared in many magazines and newspapers in the United States.
